Blue, a company famous for its microphones and headphones, offers a pair of headphones with proprietary active noise cancellation technology built right in. Moreover, these Blue headphones are Bluetooth-enabled for wireless listening. Additionally, headphone amplifiers have been built into

In-ear, over-ear, wireless, wired, iOS, Android—there’s something for every headphone preference in the HD 1 series. For instance, if you’re looking for an over-ear pair of Bluetooth headphones with leather earcups, the ability to reduce noise, and a voice-optimizing microphone for phone calls, there’s certainly an option for that configuration. Perhaps you’re a fan of wireless Bluetooth but would prefer something in an in-ear, neckband style. If that’s the case,

As we continue our very own B&H-flavored version of Oprah’s Favorite Things just in time for Valentine’s Day, one thing that comes screaming to mind is headphones. Everyone uses them, and they elicit passion, from casual listeners all the way to audiophiles. I fully admit I am something of a low-end Lothario, or dynamic-driver Don Juan, (depending on how you want to alliterate) when talking about headphones. I own a bunch of headphones and, like John Lennon, in my life I’ve loved them all. I have at least two pairs sitting on my desk at

With each year, the variety and quality of wired and wireless headphones improves for a wide range of consumer and professional applications. Apple’s removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack in the iPhone 7, as well as the recent release of the company’s Airpods, would seem to indicate that the trend is toward wireless, though there remain plenty of situations in which a wired set of headphones is preferred. Here are a few points

All year long, and especially around holidays, many of us have to travel—to our family homes, across cities, over oceans, enduring whatever the TSA throws at us each time, cramming ourselves into airborne Petri dishes while a pilot with the voice of Chuck Yeager slingshots us across the continents. If that doesn’t sound fun, don’t worry: we at B&H have solutions to make the trip less painful—even more fruitful, if you’re a creative person in the audio sphere. After all, nothing speeds time like creative enterprise. So, whether you’re

Long the standard bearer for delivering portable audio, the 3.5mm headphone jack had its plug pulled one final time, in Cupertino, on September 7, 2016, and reportedly met its fate with a steely courage you don’t often see outside of Apple designers. In its long and storied life, it survived countless audio formats, from vinyl to 8-tracks, cassette tapes, and CDs. In recent years, it had even coexisted peacefully with purely digital formats, and the advent of wireless streaming technologies, such as Bluetooth. Originating in use with the

I admit it: I am an audio snob, but at the same time, I find the concept of some “audiophile” gear to be ridiculous. Some people go to lengths to enjoy their music that are well beyond reasonable and border on the absurd, and my experience as a recording engineer always has me reaching for the practical approach. While I track audio at high resolution rates (24-bit, 88.2 or 96 kHz) for mixing purposes, I have never experienced a practical difference listening to a mastered album at higher-than-CD quality or one at normal CD quality (sorry Neil
