2023 has been an exciting year for Logitech. Following its acquisition of the popular audio equipment brand Blue Microphones, Logitech is rolling out several new products in the Logitech G line of gaming devices. With three new microphones and two new lighting rigs, all built around the modern gamer, Twitch streamer, and content creator, fans of Logitech and the former Blue Microphones have a lot to which they can look forward.
Yeti Orb
First up is the Yeti Orb, a compact gamer-centric microphone meant to extend the Yeti legacy and replace the former Yeti Snowball mic. The Orb updates the classic Snowball design with premium RGB features such as LIGHTSYNC for custom lighting effects, a more condensed cardioid pattern optimized for game streaming by avoiding keyboard clicks, and an effortless plug-and-play design. At its price point, it also delivers high-end maximum sound pressure levels, ensuring you can get rowdy on your streams without hurting the ears of your audience.
With voice presets in Logitech’s gear-configuration software G HUB, you can control the sound of your voice easily, injecting fast and fun effects or protecting your mic from clipping. The Orb also includes a free trial of Streamlabs so you can get streaming right away. The design is sleek and camera ready, making your content look clean and professional.
Yeti GX
Another evolution of the Yeti line, the Yeti GX is a gaming-optimized dynamic microphone with a scroll wheel, descended from the wheels on Logitech gaming mice products, to provide one-handed control of mic gain. When the ideal level is found, you can simply press the wheel to lock it into Smart Audio Lock.
The dynamic capsule technology delivers robust audio performance and sports a supercardioid pickup pattern for extremely narrow capture that deftly avoids room noises like keyboard tapping, air conditioning, computer fans, and more. With Blue VO!CE filters built in, you can engage custom effects and create more engaging content.
Like the Orb, the GX is a LIGHTSYNC-powered device and features two RGB zones for custom lighting effects. Also like the Orb, the GX includes painless plug-and-play convenience and includes a free trial of Streamlabs for immediate use.
Compass Desktop Microphone Boom Arm for Gaming
Quality mics are great, but modern streamers need a decent boom arm to keep their setup flush. Hence, the Compass Desktop Boom Arm, a premium tube-style boom with internal springs and convenient hidden-channel cable management. Easy to set up and utterly quiet, the Compass is perfect for mics weighing up to 2.4 lb.
The enclosed aluminum construction provides studio-grade reliability. The boom sports a 32" reach and full 360-degree rotation, facilitating optimal comfort with any setup. With a sturdy C-clamp, the arm is easy to attach to any desktop and will dependably stay put. The Compass includes a 3/8 to 5/8" adapter and, although designed for the Yeti microphones, it will fully support any broadcast-style microphone that meets the weight limit.
Litra Beam G
Purpose-built for streaming, the Logitech Litra Beam G desktop LED key light sports TrueSoft technology, making it easy to direct light where you need it for professional lighting effects. This light offers 320-lumen output and a 93 CRI with a high R9 value for brilliant skin tones on your streams.
The innovative desktop mount provides height, tilt, and rotation adjustments, and you even get 1/4"-20 threads for mounting on a standard tripod. You can control all the functions via the G HUB software. The Litra Beam G includes the desktop mount and a USB-C to USB-A cable.
Litra Beam LX
Expanding on the Litra technology and legacy, the Litra Beam LX takes things even further, with a CCT key light on one side and a LIGHTSYNC RGB light on the other. With this configuration, you can look great on camera for your streams while having LIGHTSYNC lighting fill up your gaming workstation for ambience and a fully matched RGB setup. This allows you to use just one device for all your lighting needs.
The Litra Beam LX features a flexible 3-way mounting solution for placing your light on a desktop and directing it where it needs to go. Like the Litra Beam G, you can adjust height, tilt, and rotation. Also like the Beam G, the LX includes standard 1/4"-20 threading for mounting on tripods.
TrueSoft technology gives you cinematic color accuracy and advanced diffusion that eliminates harsh shadows. Onboard controls are provided for power, color temperature, brightness, and Bluetooth pairing. With the G HUB Control software, you can change light settings (as a group or single units), preview changes via the integrated webcam view, and create sleek, clean, stream-ready designs that match your Logitech G series keyboard, mouse, mic, and headset.
The Litra Beam LX includes a desktop stand, a power adapter, and a USB-C to USB-A cable.
