Pelican, maker of high-performance protective cases, is announcing an upgrade to its best-selling Protector line with the rollout of Protector 2.0, the series' next generation. Protector cases gain upgrades in build, mobility, usage, and accessories, solidifying Pelican as a market leader for mobile storage in military, first responder, industrial, and creative applications.
The core of Protector 2.0 is the new 1400, 1510, 1560, and 1650 Protector cases. Pelican has introduced a new HPXP polymer into the build material of all these cases, increasing their impact and UV resistance, stability, and longevity, especially in harsh environmental conditions.
The cases also feature a brand-new push-button latch system, drawing design inspiration from Pelican's Storm Press & Pull and AIR Pushbutton latches. In addition to easier opening, especially with gloves, Pelican states the latches offer better latch catch retention under certain drop conditions.
Pelican has also integrated wider, better quality wheel housings for the 1510 and 1560 Studio cases, improving their mobility. These cases are also available with a divider set and lid organizer.
Accompanying the cases are a pair of new accessories: Gridpoint Panel Kits and Modpak Utility Pouches. The panel kits, available for 1510, 1560, and 1650 cases, convert the unused lid space into a modular organization system that's both MOLLE and hook-and-loop compatible. The Modpak Utility pouches are an extension of that modular system, designed to keep essential equipment protected, organized, and instantly accessible.
The pouches, which come in four sizes, are also compatible with EZ-Click MOLLE panels and Aegis backpacks.
