LG’s OLED offerings for 2024 have finally been released, with a list of features that aims to provide a high-quality home theater experience for movies, convenient access to streaming TV, and smoother, more responsive gaming. Additionally, LG has added three new models to its QNED line of displays. Whether you prefer the self-lit pixels and deep contrast of OLED, or the back-lit brilliance of QNED, LG has an option to fit your home and budget.
The selection of new OLED TVs is broken up into three series: the C4, G4, and Z3. They span sizes ranging from smaller 42" and 48" panels, which can be found in the C4 line, up to theater-like 83" and 97" panels that are offered in the G4 series. Nearly every model supports 4K HDR resolution with Brightness Booster technology, fast AI Alpha processing, and integrated webOS 24 streaming with access to more than 300 free LG Channels.
The C4 line includes 42, 48, 55, 65, 77, and 83" models. All offer stunning 4K HDR resolution and are powered by the a9 Alpha processor. The 55" and larger sizes also include LG’s Brightness Booster feature, which increases brightness for more vivid daytime viewing.
The G4 line includes 55", 65", 77", 83", and a giant 97" TV. Performance is increased across the board with an upgraded a11 Alpha processor, and with Brightness Booster Max, each pixel is enhanced with Micro Lens Array technology. For those who want to be at the forefront of home theater entertainment, LG offers the 77" Z3, which incorporates an a9 Alpha chip, Brightness Booster Max, and an impressive 8K HDR resolution with 8K Super Upscaling.
Each series delivers smooth 120 Hz graphics, webOS 24 integrated software, impressive gaming support, and voice control using built-in Amazon Alexa. Access the Internet and popular services, such as Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+. Gamers in the home get a lightning-fast <0.1 ms response time, and multiple technologies to prevent screen tearing and improve immersion. NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium, and VRR are available, along with LG’s Game Dashboard and Game Optimizer, to give you full control.
Additional smart TVs announced today include the QNED85T (50–86"), QNED90T (65–86"), and QNED89T (98") displays. These QNED displays take advantage of dimmable, backlit LED lighting for a more lifelike viewing experience. The 85T screens offer local dimming, where 90T and 89T bump the realism with precision dimming. The 90T, in particular, takes advantage of Mini-LED technology for thousands of dimmable zones. They all showcase content at 4K HDR resolution and Quantum Dot NanoCell Color, including gaming optimizations, an a8 Alpha chipset, and the same webOS 24 software of the OLED line.
