To solve the issues of latency and other obstacles that hinder long-range wireless video transmission, Hollyland has released the Cosmo C2 wireless transmission system using their newly developed HEVO 2.0 technology. Whether you’re live streaming, broadcasting, or monitoring multiple camera feeds, the Cosmo C2 delivers pristine video up to 3000’ line-of-sight, three times the distance of its predecessor the Cosmo C1. The C2 comes in a two transmitter and single receiver kit, a single transmitter and receiver kit, and an additional transmitter.
Hollyland’s new HEVO 2.0 technology makes video transmission even more efficient between the Cosmo C2 transmitter and receiver by using frequency hopping, detecting any interference and automatically switching channels to avoid service disruption. This results in latency as low as 33ms and seamless transmission of resolutions and frame rates up to 1080p60.
With the built-in FPS Booster, frame rates such as 30 fps input from HDMI or SDI can be converted to 60 fps to smooth images for monitoring. In addition to supporting embedded UVC for USB-C computer streaming output, the Cosmo C2 adds RTMP and NDI|HX3 streaming for compatibility with high-quality, low-latency streaming networks, making it easy for content creators to broadcast directly from the camera to professional websites and CDNs.
Since the receiver features dual HDMI and SDI outputs, the system supports two transmitters to a single receiver, simplifying your gear setup. Another neat feature comes into play on the rare occasion that your transmission may get interrupted - rather than displaying the last frame of your broadcast, you can upload a customized logo to display by default. The lightweight, ultraportable units can be powered using a locking power adapter or by an L-series (TX) or V-mount (RX) battery.
