Taking the improvements of the Shinobi II, the Shinobi GO from Atomos is a lower-cost version for budget filmmakers looking to expand their on-camera monitoring setup without breaking the bank. The Shinobi GO features the same 5.2” 1920 x 1080 resolution display with 1500 cd/m² maximum brightness for daylight visibility. While it might not boast the revolutionary camera control, DCI 4K support, and other advanced features of the Shinobi II, the GO is a more streamlined choice for those looking to save a little cash.
This streamlined monitor supports up to UHD 4K30 video inputs via HDMI 1.4 input port. Like the Shinobi II, the GO has HDR HLG and HLG PQ monitoring modes, allowing you to preview what your selected Log output would look like in HDR. Preview various camera-specific Log outputs and 3D LUTs using its intuitive interface and SD card slot for custom 3D LUT upload. Additional image monitoring tools like Zebra, Waveform, Histogram, Zoom, and Grid Markers ensure your final shots are properly exposed and framed.
The monitor boasts a USB-C port for device power and a 2.5mm Remote port. It can be powered via L-series battery or USB-C port for all day shoots. Calibrate the monitor using the Atomos Calibrator on your PC or macOS computer and Calibrate ColorChecker Display Pro or ColorChecker Display Plus. Optional USB-A to Serial LANC or USB-C to Serial LANC calibration cables help facilitate this connection.
