The Exquis MPE controller gives you immediate access to the rules of harmony to improvise with or without theoretical prerequisites. Notes that sound good together are arranged next to one another and, thanks to default note layouts, chords fall under your fingers, offering dimensions of expressiveness that you can quickly master.
The controller features a hexagonal isomorphic keyboard with 61 expressive pads, 4 clickable endless knob controllers, a 6-zone tactile slider, and 10 configurable buttons. And with USB-C connectivity, 3.5mm MIDI In/Out, and CV Mod/Pitch/Gate out, the Exquis is a MIDI controller compatible with all software, MIDI synthesizers, and modular synthesizers.
Inspired by the finesse of acoustic instruments, the keys of Exquis are both firm enough to play percussion and short notes with precision, and soft enough to modulate long notes with sensitivity. The pads give you continuous per-note control over pressure and pitch.
Akin to conventional composition software, the cross-platform Exquis app is the perfect companion to the keyboard. Its unique workflow allows you to create an entire song in a few minutes—choose sounds, record loops, and structure your songs with complete spontaneity. To get you started, the app comes with more than 200 sound presets from the award-winning Surge XT MPE synthesizer. You can run the app on Windows and Mac OS computers, and iOS, Android, Linux, and Raspberry Pi OS mobile devices.
