Hollyland Introduces the Solidcom SE Headset Intercom System

Designed to keep your small production crew communicating, the new Solidcom SE Noise Cancelling Headset Intercom system from Hollyland is a welcome entry into their pro Solidcom family of single-ear headsets. Aimed at smaller crews with lower budgets, the Solidcom SE sports the same, powerful features as the Solidcom C1 Pro, including dual-mic ENC, 1100’ wireless line-of-sight range, battery capacity, and mute button. The SE system comprises a master headset and remote headsets, and it has been released in six kits: two-person, three-person, four-person, six-person, and eight-person systems, and individual accessories for the kits are also available.

Easy Setup

The headsets come factory pre-paired in a master and remote setup, so setting up is simple a press of a button to turn the mics on and pair using the 1.9 GHz frequency band. The adjustable mic boom can be easily moved for comfort and it features push-to-talk and mute/PTT buttons for fast, tactile control. The system can be set up with one master and up to seven remote headsets.

Sound

Each full-duplex headset features dual-mic environmental noise cancellation (ENC) and automatic frequency hopping to prevent surrounding noise from entering your conversation, keeping clear, true voice communication throughout a cacophony of interference. The 71dB SNR maintains accurate, immersive sound without alteration.

Environmental Resistance

The headsets are water resistant, so a bit of water spray or light rain will not affect operation. A custom noise-reduction algorithm also protects your transmission from wind interference, keeping noise down windy weather.

Power

Each headset is powered via removable battery, making it easy to swap out during longer shoots. You can charge the batteries in the included battery charging hub, or they can be charged using the USB-C charging feature directly into the headset, so you can keep powered for longer sessions with a portable power bank. The master headset lasts up to five hours on a single charge (when paired with up to five headsets), and each remote headset can last up to nine hours.

Physical

Each Solidcom SE headset features an ultra-lightweight, comfortable design, and replaceable ear pads make it easy to swap out for over-usage or sanitary purposes. The USB-C port on each headset can also support an optional USB-C to 3.5mm adapter to utilize an additional earphone. Each headset includes a battery, charging hub, and USB-C cable.

Accessories

Individual accessories have been released with the headset systems to support their longevity, including six-slot and eight-slot battery charging hubs, a 700mAh lithium-ion battery, small and large carry cases, a mic windscreen, a replacement side earpad, and an over-ear earpad.
