Nanlite Updates PavoSlim Line with New Sizes and Softboxes

Since launching in the fall of 2023, Nanlite’s PavoSlim LED panels have found a home in the kits of many filmmakers and gaffers, packing a serious punch in a compact size while maintaining an impressively high CRI. Now, Nanlite has debuted new 240C and 240B models that double the size of the original 120C and 120B by incorporating a fold-out design, as well as a 60CL model that extends the length of the original 60C. In addition, the brand has upgraded the 60B and 120B models with quick-open softboxes for easier setups and teardowns.

The new PavoSlim 240C (RGBWW) and 240B (Bi-Color) will likely be popular choices, even for those who own the original 120s, since they maintain the same two-foot-by-one-foot travel size that can fold out while in use and become 2x2 fixtures. That means a larger source and softer light, perfect for casting a nice, even glow across your subjects. Their impressive 240W constant output means they can work in studio or location use, with AC/DC operation or V-mount battery power. Control options remain flexible and intuitive, with DMX/RDM, Bluetooth, and wireless RF capabilities.

Nanlite wants you to be able to throw these fixtures into any kind of scenario, including in the kit multiple diffusers, a folding softbox, eggcrate, and a swivel holder for using it on a stand. The 240s also include a new feature wherein they remain illuminated until they’re fully collapsed. That means you can bend and shape them however you need, taking full advantage of the extra size to create more of a wrap-around style light. The 240C’s full RGB abilities mean it can match virtually any ambient light in your scene, while both 240 models feature built-in dimmers to dial in the exact strength necessary for your desired look.

The new PavoSlim 60CL reimagines the 60C, maintaining a similar output but cutting the height in half and doubling its length to fit in smaller spaces and achieve results more akin to a tube light. Instead of a 1x1, you now have a .5x2 that’s ideal for side, rim, or accent lighting. Flexibility is still key, so you get that variable RGB color temperature, 0–100% dimming, and multiple control options. Less than an inch thick, the 60CL might just become a secret weapon for innovative setups and on-the-go filmmaking.

The original 60B and 120B models are sought after due to their high output, compact sizes, and streamlined workflow, so Nanlite has upgraded their included softboxes to “Quick-Open” iterations that more easily fold out for assembly and fold back up for storage. Users will be able to save precious time on set and focus more on the craft than tedious construction. Like the original softboxes, these Quick-Open iterations are included with the lights.
