At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Samsung made several big announcements regarding its upcoming TV lineup, including new models, new technologies, and exciting new features. Here’s everything we learned about so far.
AI for All
At Samsung’s press conference, CEO and Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division Jong-Hee (JH) Han spoke about Samsung’s vison for making AI an everyday experience they are calling “AI for All.”
“With Home AI, Samsung is creating experiences that go beyond connection and automation. Home AI can help you save time as well as energy. It can help keep your family and your home safe, and it can recommend (to) you what you need before you even know it to live better, easier, and simpler. By understanding all of these unique needs, Home AI can infuse more comfort and joy into your life.”
Jonathan Gabrio, Head of Connected Electronics Experience Center at Samsung Electronics America, expanded on that vison. He touted the ability of Smart Things products with One UI to learn, customize, and synchronize usage and settings across devices for each member of the household using voice recognition and learning their habits. Control will be enabled on any connected, screen-equipped device, from your smart phone, to your TV, to your refrigerator. Gabrio stressed the advanced security features of Samsung Knox and their promise to protect user data and simplify management across your entire home. Speaking of security, Samsung AI Home Security can turn your TV into a monitoring hub, allowing you to review camera feeds and receive alerts on the largest screen in the house.
