The Mini LED QLED lineup is upgraded in 4K with the QN85D and QN90D, and in blistering 8K with the QN800D and QN900D. This assortment of displays also sees a new version of The Frame―a TV/digital canvas that marries the art of film, TV, and games with that of photography and world-class pieces from galleries and museums.
Samsung's flagship OLED entries continue to use the QD-OLED panels that marry the stark contrast, inky blacks, and expressive color performance of emissive OLED technology, with the improved brightness that quantum dots deliver. The S90D packs a 40W 2.1-channel system built in, while the S95D elevates the power to 70W, adding two dedicated up-firing drivers to assist with the Atmos effect in a 4.2.2 configuration.
Local dimming Mini-LED backlights, an extreme display size, and maximum resolution highlight 2024's Neo QLED TV assortment. QN85D and QN90D represent Samsung's 4K backlit offerings, while QN800D and QN900D push the resolution to a jaw-dropping 8K. As you move up in models, so does the audio power, with QN90D and QN800D offering two dedicated up-firing drivers, while the QN900D delivers four, for even more immersion. As expected, every display comes with access to Samsung's Smart Hub and Gaming Hub for streaming shows, movies, and games, along with Motion Xcelerator, ALLM, and VRR technology to power smooth, lag-free game play.
The Frame continues Samsung's foray into lifestyle TVs, which are an ideal solution for those who want high-quality entertainment without the giant black rectangle in their home when they're not watching. As a TV, The Frame has many of the core features of the OLED and Neo QLED lines, such as 4K resolution, Dolby Atmos sound, and various gaming enhancements. What it uniquely offers when not in use is a transformation into a digital canvas for those who want to display personal photos and fine art. Integrated Art Streams displays 20 curated pieces, with the subscription-based Art Store providing access to over 2,500 more.
