Samsung Announces 9100 PRO PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSDs

Samsung announces its latest entry into the world of solid-state drives (SSDs) with the 9100 PRO PCIe NVME M.2 internal drive. Available in multiple capacities up to 8TB, the 9100 PRO can easily accommodate a wide range of systems from gaming rigs to high-capacity media workstations.

Thanks to the PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe 2.0 interface, the 9100 PRO features a scalable performance design, giving you sequential read and write speeds up to 14,800 and 13,400 MB/s, respectively. Samsung V NAND TLC and in-house controller is backed by LPDDR4x cache memory to ensure faster saving and recall speeds, increasing the overall throughput of the 9100 PRO, making it truly a professional grade drive. Performance is further increased thanks to Samsung’s Intelligent TurboWrite 2.0, which offers significantly enhanced performance by allocating a larger buffer storage area inside the drive.

The 9100 PRO offers additional features like Class 0 (AES 256), TCG/Opal v.20, and MS eDrive (IEEE1667) data encryption protocols to keep your data safe from unauthorized users. It also maintains a low operating wattage without compromising speed. Additionally, the drive has a terabytes written (TBW) threshold of up to 4800TB.

The Samsung 9100 PRO comes in two variations as either a standalone drive or packaged with a heatsink and offers 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB capacities.
