I had a big project lined up, and one of the tools in my arsenal was the Axler Robin 20 Stabilizer. It would be my first time using this product, so I documented my experiences with it from opening the box

The versatility of LED light units has made them the de facto standard when small, portable, battery-powered, and lightweight units are required. Traditionally, LED lights have suffered from taking a middle-of-the-road approach, trading power and control for softness, and not being all that good at softness, anyway. With its newest batch of lighting units, Ikan has taken the problem, broken it down to its component issues, and come up with a nifty solution

At the 2013 NAB trade show, Freefly Systems introduced the world to a new concept in camera stabilization—the motorized gimbal. A device giving operators the ability to capture dolly-smooth shots while enjoying something close to the freedom of handheld shooting has been around since 1976; of course, I’m referring to the “arm-and-vest” stabilizer. Amazingly, it took 37 years for a serious competitor to this classic-design stabilizer to emerge. This competitor is the MōVI.
Arguably, the arm-and-vest design works so well there was little reason
