Sony has announced a replacement IR cut filter for their BURANO 8K cinema camera. This free update improves color reproduction in strong light, especially any slight reddish tinge that may be seen in black clothing under direct, unshaded sunlight.
BURANO owners who want the replacement filter should contact Sony support before June 30, 2026 to schedule the update, which will require sending their camera to Sony.
